Why We Built Normal

Normal started with a simple question.

For something so many people quietly struggle with, we couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a better way to get help with pornography. Too often, the options ended at willpower, blockers or another app. So we built Normal.

More common than most people realise.

Millions of people watch pornography. For most, it isn’t a problem.

But for others, its impact can build quietly over time, affecting their relationships, confidence and daily life more than they ever expected. By the time many decide they want help, they often don’t know where to turn.

If you've been here before

You told yourself it was the last time.

Then life got stressful.

Or you felt lonely.

Or bored.

And somehow you ended up back where you started.

You tried relying on willpower.

Maybe blockers.

Maybe another app.

For many people, it still isn't enough.

Not because you aren't trying.

Because trying harder isn't always the answer.

That's why we built Normal.

Normal Packaging Box

Built for lasting change.

Changing behaviour isn’t about trying harder.

It’s about understanding what’s driving it and having the right support to change it.

That’s why Normal combines clinician-led treatment, where appropriate, with behavioural support in one personalised programme.

Pill

Evidence-based treatment

Prescribed by a UK-registered clinician, where appropriate, to help reduce unwanted urges.

Chat

Support in the moment

Behavioural support that’s there between clinician check-ins, helping you build healthier habits over time.

Lock

Private from start to finish

Everything from your assessment to delivery is designed to be discreet and confidential.

This is personal. So is the way we treat it.

Urges don’t arrive when it’s convenient.

They show up after a stressful day, late at night or when old habits start pulling you back.

Norm gives you practical, evidence-based guidance in those moments, helping you pause, refocus and build healthier habits over time.
